Record payments

Settle unpaid invoices — full, partial or split across methods.

Sales on credit are normal business. Nkapio tracks the balance of every invoice until it reaches zero.

Step 1 — Find the unpaid invoice

Open Sales listing and filter by status, or check the Outstanding tile on the dashboard. Open the invoice — its header shows total, paid amount and balance due.

Step 2 — Record the payment

Click the payment action to reach the checkout. Pick the method (cash, momo, check), adjust the amount for a partial payment, click Add, then Record payment.

Step 3 — Watch the balance close

Each payment is logged with date, method and amount. The invoice flips to paid the moment the balance reaches zero, and each payment has a printable receipt.

Tip: a client paying part now, part next week? Record two payments — the invoice shows the running balance in between.
