Item custody tracks anything that moves between your business and a client — a loaner device, a repaired item, a piece of equipment left for service. Every handover is logged with who has it and when it’s due back.
Step 1 — Open item custody
In the sidebar, expand Operations and open Item Custody. The list shows every active and past handover, with its current holder and due date.
Step 2 — Record an intake
Click New Handover, select the client and the item, and set a due date if the item must be returned. Add photos or notes to record its condition at intake.
Step 3 — Scan an item back in
When the item is returned, open its handover and mark it as returned. You can scan a barcode or QR code to find the right handover instantly.
